Space plays an increasingly ubiquitous role in all forms of military operations. Despite its increasing role and importance, there has been little strategic analysis from a UK and European perspective. The aim of the Space Security programme is to address this deficit by providing a comprehensive information resource and provoking informed debate. Its scope is wide-ranging encompassing a range of topics which include: Space weaponisation; The role of space in missile defence and network-enabled operations; The use of space by UK forces; the issue of space security in the wider defence debate.
