Definition of OCS Operations

Offensive counterspace operations neutralize an adversary's space systems or the information they provide, through attacks on the various elements of those systems for the purpose of achieving space superiority objectives. If an adversary is able to effectively employ offensive counterspace operations to deceive, disrupt, deny, degrade, or destroy US space systems, the force multiplication effect these systems provide would be reduced or eliminated.
